Events Through the Year

The recurring dates that shape living Downtown, and what they mean for your car.

The short answer

What happens Downtown through the year?

Every month there's First Friday, 5 to 9 PM, with a 21+ sip and stroll. From April to early December the Saturday farmers market fills Hurkamp Park, and the Christmas parade comes down Caroline and Princess Anne in December — in 2026, Saturday, December 5 at 5:30 PM.

The trade-off

What's the trade-off?

Events are part of the deal. If you live on the route or the main blocks, parade day means moving your car by 2 PM, and First Fridays bring a crowd past your door every month.
